Anyone starting the hobby quickly finds out that even a basic reef tank, sump, cabinet, lights, pumps, wavemakers, and waste filtration systems can quickly run into hundreds or thousands of dollars..... Then there is the running costs, the dosing solutions, the testing reagents, the list is endless.

 

Here at Evie's ocean treasures we not only buy, recondition and sell all sorts of budget and high end reef equipment for your system, but also provide access to low cost alternatives to name brand dosing solutions and other consumables.

 

Evie, a qualified chemical engineer with almost 25 years in the water and wastewater industries, entered the hobby and quickly realised that reef keeping can be cheaper - we bulk buy pharmaceutical grade chemicals and and reagents and pass those savings onto you.

Based in Sydney"s Northern Beaches, our eco-friendly coral farm showcases both biological and chemical based nitrate and phosphate removal systems,  is cooled in summer via geothermal ground coils and powered all year round by solar power and battery systems.​ Last year we became a member of a very select club,  successfully breeding Australian Stripeys for the first time.
